La cosecha de Betances

9x11 in

Known as the Father of the Nation among Puerto Ricans, Betances was an active doctor, politician, and abolitionist. A leader among equals, Betances sparked a movement founded on the natural rights of men and women to determine the status of their land and to pursue their individual, God-given liberties. To this end, he fought against opponents of Puerto Rico and welcomed the support from outsiders who believed in his cause.

We are the products of his efforts, and what we harvest can either be the fruit of our collective labor or the decay of our nation, rooted in corruption, mismanagement, and neglect.

His hope was in a good, bountiful harvest.
